Troubleshooting

Most problems have a one-line fix. Start with the list below.

Common problems

ProblemFix
A job stays QueuedCheck runs-on. Every label must match, for example [self-hosted, codemany]. A typo keeps the job waiting.
Jobs wait a long timeAll runners are busy. Jobs run when one frees up. To run more at once, add a machine.
Jobs stop when the Mac sleepsKeep a laptop plugged in, or use an external display when the lid is closed. Low Power Mode also lets it sleep.
"Codemany Pro license required"Your trial or plan ended. Subscribe in the app (Billing).
GitHub disconnectedSign in to GitHub again in the app. Running jobs keep going; new runners retry every 5 minutes.
"Low disk space"Free up disk space. Each runner needs about 15 GB, and Codemany keeps 20 GB free for the system.

Check its health

In Terminal, run:

codemany doctor

It checks Codemany's background service, your license, GitHub and the runners, and says what is wrong. In the app, look under Settings › Troubleshooting.

Send Feedback

Choose Send Feedback… in the Codemany menu bar menu. It works even when you are signed out or Codemany's background service is down. You can also message @arpwal on X.
