# Azure

Azure isn't in Add a cloud machine yet; this is how it will connect, and details may change.

## How it will connect

1. In [Add a cloud machine](https://codemany.com/docs/machines/cloud#add), choose **Azure**.
2. Sign in with Microsoft
   In your browser, like the Google Cloud sign-in.
3. Choose a subscription
   Your account needs the **Contributor** role on it to create, start, stop and delete virtual machines.

## What stays the same

Seats, security and sign-in storage work as on [Cloud machines](https://codemany.com/docs/machines/cloud).

## Until then

Create an Ubuntu 24.04 VM and install Codemany by following [the Linux server guide](https://codemany.com/docs/machines/linux-server#cloud). Allow only SSH in, and reach the dashboard through an SSH tunnel.
